Our Approach

At AWAGHA, we recognize that strong health systems are essential for delivering quality healthcare services to women and adolescent girls living with HIV/AIDS. Our health systems strengthening programs focus on building capacity, improving infrastructure, and advocating for policy changes that enhance healthcare delivery.

Healthcare Access

Our healthcare access initiatives include:

  • A functional static Medical Private not for profit (PNFP) facility for General Medical care, Consultations & Diagnostic services, Modern Laboratory, Ultra sound scan services, Immunization, ANC/PNC, Family Planning and other Prevention interventions
  • Community health worker programs

Capacity Building

Our capacity building efforts include:

  • Training for healthcare workers
  • Leadership and management development
  • Quality improvement initiatives
  • Mentorship and supportive supervision

Monitoring & Evaluation

Our monitoring and evaluation systems include:

  • Monthly surveillance, Data collection and analysis
  • Performance measurement

Advocacy & Policy

Our advocacy and policy work includes:

  • Advocacy through increasing demand and uptake of SRHS/SGBV using theater for Behavioral change through interactive session with Power holders and action planning using our mentored advocacy Young leaders
  • Engagement with policymakers
  • Evidence-based policy recommendations
  • Coalition building and networking
  • Community mobilization and participation
